The Arsenal

In 1859, the US Army founded the Arsenal to store munitions and supplies bound for frontier forts during the Mexican-American War. Since being decommissioned, the Arsenal was designated as a Texas Historic Landmark in 1964 and placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1969
